About
Ayush Ranka is an independent photographer based out of Bangalore, India. Ayush believes that in a true democracy everybody has a right to a life with dignity regardless of their background. These motivations are a conduit for the exploration about life that comes easy to some & is almost impossibly arduous for others. He believes that any form of art has a very important role to play in fostering a sense of understanding between people in a very direct & unadulterated manner. And believes photography is the most immediate. Urbanization, human rights & culture are mostly topics he likes to work with. His interests lie deeply rooted in the socio-political trends of modern India, addressing concerns that have led to the disparity between urban and rural India through his photographic essays. His clients include New York Times, Volvo, UVEX (Germany), Azim Premji Foundation, GQ (India), Financial Times Magazine, Harvard Business Review, Architectural Digest and Femina Magazine. His work has also appeared on webspaces such as Photojournale, Kafila and The Social Documentary Network. Apart from doing editorial and work of a photojournalistic nature, Ayush also takes up commercial assignments. Ayush Ranka 's current location:Bangalore , India Play slideshow → |
