Hans Kemp is well known for his books about Vietnam and Vietnamese contemporary culture. US Senator Max Baucus called one of his books, ‘Bikes of Burden’: "required reading for anyone interested in Vietnam today". National Geographic photographer Michael Yamashita said of Hans’ books: " For the best photography books on Vietnam, Hans Kemp corners the market". Currently based in Ho Chi Minh City Hans continues to travel around Asia looking for new book material. His latest book, ‘Ardent Eye’, with images from all over Asia, came out in November 2005.
