Photography of Ilker Gurer

I started photography in Summer 2004, and moved to become a professional at 2006 since then I have worked as a freelance photographer for various publications. In year 2006 I was nominated from Turkey by World Press Masterclass. In January 2007 I started working with World Picture News, sometimes on an assignment basis. In January 2008 started working as Photo Editor at a Daily newspaper in Turkey. I have covered four major personal projects to date. Still working on urban tranformation story (media critics),and ongoing leprosy patients story.
In my projects I try to show people’s strength when facing hardships. Currently I am a freelance Photographer based in Istanbul,Turkey.
