Images by Ines Laborim The Chillean born artist after travelling, working and living in more than 50 countries, arrived to Brazil and in 1990 started to work on his major masterpiece which, little by little, turned into the most original mosaic stairway in the world. It has 250 stairs and is 125 metres long. t's the famous 250 - step staircase between Lapa & Santa Teresa that has provided the backdrop for the likes of the Snoop Dogg "Beautiful" music video, U2's "Walk On" video, and a even a playboy photo shoot! American Express, Coca Cola, Fanta, Pepsi and Kellogs Corn Flakes commercials were also shot there.
