A city awakens

These are images mostly of Park Street in Kolkata City, India. Kolkata (formerly Calcutta) a sprawling metropolis with over 7 million people has more than its share of grinding poverty. Yet Park Street is the most exclusive, expensive and home to the most affluent and fortunate in Kolkata. I took these photographs last year during a week long stay in the city...
