VeraMulyani is a critically acclaimed Filmmaker and Conceptual Artist of unique talent whose
work has been recognized internationally. Her rare talent resides in the
multi-disciplinary and synergistic combination of expertise and talent in different areas of
artistic expression - Filmmaking, Photography, Literature, Architecture, Urban Design and
Conceptual Art.
Vera’s impressive success in reaching elite levels in many areas of the arts is
reflected in her portfolio of accomplishments, including: Writer, Director and Producer of award

winning short-films presented in the short-film corner at the world famous Cannes Film Festival
in France: ‘Forgotten Land’ (May 2008) and ‘Elah and the Moon’ (May 2009/2010), author of
a critically acclaimed architectural research book ‘F*** Da Rules’ questioning Manhattan’s city
planning and offering a chilling forecast of the economy collapsing through the construction
boom, and an Artist, exhibiting in numerous highly reputable venues in the US, Europe and in
South- East Asia.
Vera’s talents and artistic personality were quickly recognized as a young artist by top
European architects, world renowned filmmakers, urban designers, conceptual artists and art
commentators. Ms. Mulyani worked with Rudy Ricciotti, Jeffrey McKean and other well-
known figures of the world of architecture. During these forming years Vera developed a
distinct style to Urban Design. In 2002, she successfully completed the ‘Richweg’ in Germany,
which consisted of a city planning project aimed at rebuilding a former industrial city by using
the concept of Green Zoning. In 2004, in partnership with Tong- Ji University, Ms. Mulyani
introduced new urbanism in Shanghai with the Green Urban Design concept by proposing
multiplication of Garden on the Air and Green Zoning. Her goal was to better promote the
integration of the built and natural environment. In 2004, Ms. Mulyani proposed a Green Micro
Equipment for the ‘Favelas’ of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. The same year, she proposed a new
model for the city of Lilles in France, consisting of a Green Zone, which would also include
commercial and residential elements. Being Green has been central to her concept of new
urbanism in the reality of evolving spirituality of acceptance, appreciation of nature and human
compassion.
World Peace traveler by philosophical choice, Vera has resided and worked in 20 cities worldwide
each time reaching distinct creative success capturing and depicting the authentic pulse of her
surroundings. Vera’s trade mark approach to filmmaking and conceptual art is to converge
with her immediate cultural environment, experiencing first hand its distinct energy and
consciousness while providing unique artistic insight, philosophical interpretation and social
commentary through her art. Vera’s artistic and multicultural journey and philosophical curiosity
have produced a highly sought after filmmaker and commentator of society, spirituality and
religion.
