About
Richard Baker is an English reportage and documentary photographer living in London and working on editorial projects and commissions. He is perhaps best-known for his collaboration with Alain de Botton on ‘The Pleasures and Sorrows of Work’ and ‘A Week at the Airport: A Heathrow Diary’ plus Red Arrows, his own book about Britain’s Royal Air Force aerobatic team (Dalton Watson, 2005). When not assigned by image-led magazines and corporations, he tries to instinctively pursue projects that are geographical or merely themes on the incongruous and the everyday, while always having more than a passing thought for the aesthetics of aviation, industry and urban landscape. His archive is hosted at Photoshelter and represented by Corbis and Alamy.
