Yasmine Soiffer is an award-wining documentary and fine art photographer. Her work is driven by a desire to understand and connect with others through the camera. She performs a kind of cultural anthropology, studying people and seeking to relate on a primal human level.

Yasmine graduated from the International Center of Photography in 2008. Recent exhibitions include: Push\\Pull, a part of the DUMBO Arts Festival (2010), One Hour Photo at Katzen Arts Center, Washington, DC (2010), and Bussing It!! at the Hadassah Art Gallery in Jerusalem and then Tel Aviv (2009). She is a 2010 Puffin Foundation Grant Recipient, a 2010 NYFA Immigrant Mentee, and a 2009 Editorial Photo Essay 3rd Place winner in the IPA Lucie Awards.

Yasmine was born in Sri Lanka in 1981 and raised mostly in Japan and Ivory Coast; she often did not share a verbal language with her peers, so found visual arts as a means of communication.
Clients include Tiffany & Co., Peter Thomas Roth, CS Monitor, Time Out Magazine, Flash 90 Photo Agency, W Magazine, Walla, and Green Action.

Yasmine’s most recent work is on Israel and the Palestinian territories, including stories on settlers, nightlife in Ramallah, and the Dead Sea

Before turning her eye to photography, she worked as a performer in the theatre and taught English/ESL.

She is currently based in New York and Tel Aviv, and available for assignments worldwide.
