Delirium

All of Italy has followed with anxiety and trepidation the Germany 2006 Football World Cup. The final victory was necessary to cancel the bad image that Italian football created of itself after its national championship's corruption scandal, to give a lesson to all the "football" critics and to rein over the world after 24 years. Every victory was celebrated like the victory of a Revolution, with flags, dancing in the streets and singing all through the night. Everyday Rome's Circus Maximus was transformed in a battle field, until the night of the 9th of July when over a million people gathered to celebrate the final triumph. The battle was won.
