Thousands of mourners wait by the Vatican to view the body of late Pope John Paul II in St. Peter's Basilica in Rome, April 7, 2005. Mourners spend the night along Via della Conciliazione that leads towards Saint Peter's Square, while waiting to enter the Basilica where the body of the Pope lies-in-state at the Vatican.
