Sarah Beth Glicksteen is a photographer and multimedia journalist available for freelance assignment.
Her work has been published in The Concord Monitor, The Christian Science Monitor, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, the Greensburg Tribune-Review, News Photographer magazine, Time.com, and the Florida Times-Union, and has been recognized by the Boston Press Photographers Association.
She completed her master’s in Multimedia Journalism and Cultural Studies in the University Professors Program at Boston University in 2009. She has experience teaching new media journalism and blogging skills to teenagers in an after-school mentoring program at Teen Voices Magazine, and is working to build a web resource for other multimedia journalism mentors.
She has worked as a full-time photo intern at the Concord Monitor, The Christian Science Monitor, the Tribune-Review, and Digital Media Intern at the Florida Times-Union.
At BU, she spent 4 years as the curriculum committee leader of a group of BU students called Exposure Initiative that teaches photography workshops in Boston-area public schools that lack funding for arts programs and other creative endeavors. She spent the summer of 2006 volunteering and doing a documentary project on Kibbutz Ketura in the Negev desert in Israel and completed her first long-term project in the form of a multimedia slideshow. In 2007 she lived and interned in Paris, doing conservation and archival work of historic photos at Parisienne de Photographie, formerly Agence Roger-Viollet.
