Montana 4-HThis is a story about an 11-year-old girl, Hannah Clouse, raising a pig to sell at the Western Montana Fair. The 4-H program teaches children about life and death at a young age. They develop the maturity to love an animal that they will have to let go. Although the fabric of Montana rural life is changing, agricultural institutions like the 4-H program continue to build communities and teach children important life skills.
