Venezuela's "Cradle of the Revolution"

The state of Barinas is president Chávez’s homeland and officially referred as ‘the cradle of the revolution’. Chávez’s family control local politics - his father Hugo de los Reyes is the state governor since 1999, his brother Argenis is secretary of state and another brother Anibal, mayor of Sabaneta [Hugo Chávez hometown]. But the family reigns amid corruption charges, escalation of violence and deep polarization.
