A story about a man who used to have a good life. He is now suffering from AIDS, a phenomenal syndrome that weakens the body and eventually leads to the death of the person. He got sick because of drug abuse, was arrested and imprisoned. At the time this documentary was made, he was still confined in the hospital but was due to be transferred back to his cell in prison after his treatment. Death is next door. The world will never know his reasons. Living and dying goes hand in hand. But it all depends in our actions, in our decisions. To live or not to live? To die or not to die? These are the questions.

Carmz Lopez (b. 1987) is a development worker/photographer based in Manila. She is passionate about health, human rights, culture, religion and diversity.

In November 2010, she was one of three Filipinos chosen to be part of the 6th Angkor Photo Workshops for young emerging Asian photographers in Siem Reap, Cambodia. In 2011, she was selected to take part in Stream Photo Asia’s Documentary Photography Masterclass in Bangkok, Thailand. Her work has been shown in the Philippines, Cambodia, Thailand, India, Pakistan and Indonesia.

She is a gypsy, a free spirited traveler, forever in transit.
