Tammy David was born in Manila, Philippines in 1983.

David graduated BA Humanities at the University Of Asia and the Pacific, Philippines in 2007. In 2008, she was selected for Peter Bialobrzeski’s Teach and Work program sponsored by the Goethe Institut in Manila. David also completed a diploma course in Photojournalism from the Konrad Adenauer Asian Center for Journalism in partnership with the World Press Photo Education during the same year. David was also selected to represent the Philippines in Asia-Europe Emerging Photographers’ Forum in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on May 2009. Her work has been exhibited in Manila, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Hanoi, Jakarta and Germany.
