is a self-taught photographer based in Jakarta,the busy capital city of Indonesia. Covering issues such as politics, economics, society and culture, Edy’s interest in photography grew when he studied journalism.My work has been published in both local and international media such as Smithsonian, Grand Reportage, Science & Vie and Newsweek Japan,IML,World Health Organisation,Playboy Indonesia,Tempo Newspapper,Tempo Magazine,Tempo Magazine english edition,3rd place Tempo Magazine Best Photojournalism 2008 essay category,Marie Claire Indonesia,National Geographic Traveler Indonesia,NGO,among others

Other than participating in several photo exhibitions in Indonesia and working for an international photo agency, Susanto has also published his own photography book titled “Fifty Seven Second”, a collaboration with Indonesian photojournalists, the book is a documentary on the earthquake that hit Yoyakarta in 2006, killing more than 6,000 people.
