Dedicated to the One I Love

Documentary photographers Liz Lock & Mishka Henner spent two months working with twelve carers aged 13 to 16, gathering anecdotes, personal reflections and visual testimonies of their lives looking after loved ones in mental or physical need.

Currently working on various documentary projects in the North of England. Winner of 2006 Magenta Foundation for Emerging Photography, 2007 Photo District News (New York) Photo-Annual, and nominated in 2007 for the World Press Masterclass in Amsterdam. I have worked on features and portraits for the Telegraph Magazine, Financial Times, Flux Magazine, and BBC Newsnight. Support for longer term projects have included grants from Arts Council England, The Henry Moore Foundation, Heritage Lottery Fund and the Centre for the Study of Global Governance.
