Sajjad Ahmed is a visual artist based in Lahore, Pakistan. He works with found images from media and history on the subjects like visual spaces, globalization and art itself. His artwork has been taught at CUNY, City University of New York in 2009-10 as part of course work presentation, and at Hong Kong University in 2008. He is one of the finalists for Sovereign Asia Art Prize 2009, nominated with his work ” A Capitalist Hit” (2008). In 2011, his works inspired by paintings of circular ‘oculus’ from Renaissance, were inducted as a permanent installation for the exhibition “In narrow and wider circles” at the Slought Foundation of Philadelphia. Ahmed’s works are in various art collections in North America, Middle-East, Europe and Asia. Currently his artwork is being featured with the likes of Takashi Murakami and Bert Stern at JAMM London-Kuwait.
