About
Paul M. Jackson was born in Winston-Salem, NC and makes his home in Asheville, NC. At 14 years of age, his father gave him a camera and he has been shooting ever since. Then, building a darkroom with a limited budget in an unused janitor’s closet, he embarked on a slow transition to digital photography, embracing it early on. Now known for his colorful imagery, Spending ample time in New York, immersing himself in the work of his heros (Henri Cartier-Bresson and Jay Maisel to name two), past and present, Paul now plans to refine his vision and improve upon this craft, keeping in tradition of the medium’s history while pushing its boundries along the way.
