Qalqilyah Zoo

Qalqilyah zoo is truly unique.Not just because it's the only zoo in Palestine but of the zoo's difficult history.Established in 1986 by Dr.Sami Khader,the first animals to arrive were giraffes, monkeys,deers,camels,a lion and a hippo.Many lives of the zoo's inhabitants were taken away during the second intifada.Some now stand stuffed in the zoo museum.There's also a small fun fair,real fun.After all i've seen in the West Bank,Qalqilyah brings a lot of hope with it's animal magic.The people who are involved in the zoo's developement are true heroes.Here's their story:
