The World of the HavasupaiThe Havasupai (people of the blue-green water)are native people of the lands and waters surrounding the Grand Canyon. Supai, their village is at the bottom of the Havasu Canyon and this creates two worlds the "down here" and the "up there". There are no roads you must descend by foot, mule or helicopter. Many tourists and explorers seek out Navajo, Havasu and Mooney falls and the Havasupai profit from the tourism and try to maintain their traditions alive. If you choose to arrive by foot the path has been used for hundreds of years and is considered sacred.
