Gianni Muratore was born in Palermo, Italy.

He studied Psychology at the University of Palermo.

In 1993 he moved to London where he studied Photojournalism. He started to freelance soon after for various Italian magazines and for a London based photo-agency.

He has held exhibitions in Palermo, Milan, Turin, Bologna, Munich, Edinburgh and London.

Some of the magazines where his photographs have been published include: The Guardian/Observer, The Independent, The Sunday Herald, The Telegraph.

He is based in London U.K., in Palermo, Italy from December 2005.
