Krista is a Pulitzer Prize-winning photojournalist (2002 New York Times – Breaking News) currently based in Tucson, Arizona. Her projects usually focus on youth-related issues. She also pursues stories on fertility issues and the state of mental health in the United States. A graduate of San Francisco State University, she is currently launching a whimsical photo greeting card line full of sarcastic humor under the label ‘nJoy Studios’. In August of 2007, Krista became the Photography Director of Voices, Inc., a Tucson, Arizona based non-profit (http://www.voicesinc.org). The mission of the organization, founded in 1999, is to mentor Tucson youth as they tell the stories of their lives through words and pictures. When she’s not on assignment, you might catch her screaming by you on her mountain bike or join her on a never-ending search for the best chicken fried steak.
