Photographer, photojournalist, documentary and editorial features, with such as Figaro, Geo, Marie Claire, Stern, Le Monde, Vogue, The Independent, La Vanguardia, D Republicca, Wired magazine plus corporate and commercial clients. Based mainly in Paris and travels worldwide, Nigel has several personal photographic projects on the go. He is finishing his 12 year project on Roma Gypsies across Europe, awarded 2nd prize – Eugene Smith Award 2000. His longterm work on ‘Meat’ (Mad Cows, Foot & Mouth, Abattoirs, farming, consumption across several continents – bound to put you off your lunch!) honourable mention – World Press Awards 1997, shortlisted European Publishers Award. 2003 he began work in northern Nigeria documenting ‘life under the Islamic Sharia’ – Hispa militias and ghetto gangs . Aerial photography over forests after storm damage has been subject of various exhibitions to date. Fascinated by the vitality and sheer determination of peoples, communities who find themselves on the periphery, marginalized from the mainstream – he works with Roma Gypsies & Street Children. Concern with the Environment lead him to document threatened habitat and indigenous peoples, documenting land-rights issues, tropical rainforests and deforestation; Bronze Award – UNEP Environment competition 1992. “Sara.
