Charles Peterson is best known for his documentation of the grunge scene, culminating in the critically acclaimed Touch Me I’m Sick (powerHouse, 2003), his third monograph (previous are Screaming Life, Harper Collins 1995, and Pearl Jam Place/Date, Rizzolli – Universal 1997) as well as a major retrospective under the same name at the Chrysler Museum of Art in Norfolk Virginia. He now shoots many different things including a recent ad campaign for Dr Marten’s and photographer profiles for Adobe’s Lightroom. Ongoing projects are his Vietnam travels and breakdancers. A few of Charles’ favorite things are Leica cameras, Iyengar yoga, and Nice Collective clothing. He resides in Seattle.
