Shapinsky MultiMedia is a production and consulting business. I have worked with various clients on a variety of projects involving multimedia and communications strategy, information management, as well as production services. Among Shapinsky MultiMedia’s recent clients are The Salzburg Seminar, The National Medical Association, Capitol News Connection with PRI, and Howard University’s Genome Center. Prior to launching this business, I served as Senior Producer for PBS station, WHUT, in Washington, D.C. He has been in broadcast and multimedia journalism for more than a decade. He established the webcasting service for kaisernetwork.org (for the Kaiser Family Foundation) and has produced for public radio, public television, and network news, including such shows as PrimeTime Live, 20/20, World News Tonight with Peter Jennings, and Nightline. My program credits include documentaries, news broadcasts, talk shows, town-meetings, webcasts, and articles for print. I received his Ph.D. in American history from the University of Chicago in 1990, where he specialized in U.S. foreign policy and international history. Awards include a Telly for a an hour special on AIDS, as well as an Emmy and a Peabody for work on “Rush to Read,” an investigation into pap smear laboratories with Diane Sawyer for ABC News PrimeTime Live.David Shapinsky 's current location:
