Georgia, Tbilisi, August' 2008. Mass grave of 43 unknown Georgian soldiers whose bodies were taken by priests from the Bufer zone. For almost three weeks dead bodies laid in the field near Shyndysi village, nobody was allowed to enter the zone.

UNCHR estimates more that 50000 refugees from Georgian villages of Gori district were placed in IDP camps, schools, kindergartens and empty buildings.

Georgia, Karaleti, August' 2008. Alik Bibilashvili was shot dead by Ossetian militia on August'12 and buried by a neighbor in his garden. On August 25 some of his relatives exhumed the body and buried him according to Christian traditions.
