Pastores y ganado cruzan el Maestrazgo hacia el MediterrÃ¡neo. A finales de noviembre el riguroso clima de la zona obliga a buscar tierras mas cÃ¡lidas, asÃ que los pastores realizan una trashumancia de cinco dÃas para llevar al ganado a mejores pastos invernales. La marcha da comienzo una vez confirmada la salud de las reses y si el clima permite o no seguir pastando en la montaÃ±a. - Shepherds and cattle cross the Maestrazgo region and head towards the Mediterranean. It is the end of November and the harsh weather in the area forces shepherds to complete a five-day transhumance to take the cattle to warmer land. The journey to the lowlands commences as soon as the cows' good health is confirmed and the weather does not permit any more grazing in the mountains.

El cafÃ© se hace mientras un pastor prepara el ponche. La cena, el cafÃ© y el ponche, preparado con licor, azÃºcar y romero cortado a lo largo del camino, calientan los cuerpos de los pastores en la noches cuando la temperatura ha descencido varios grados. - Coffee is brewing while a shepherd prepares punch. Pascual es de las pocas personas, junto a sus compaÃ±eros trashumantes ,que continÃºan con la prÃ¡ctica de esta tradiciÃ³n milenaria. Con el sentimiento de ser los Ãºltimos depositarios de una cultura y una forma de ser que desaparece, consideran la trashumancia como un hecho cultural de gran importancia e interÃ©s y un modelo de gestiÃ³n de territorio en consonancia con el paisaje y el medioambiente. - Pascual is one of the few people, together with his transhuming friends, who continues to practice this millenial tradition. With the feeling of being the last depositaries of a disappearing culture and way of being, they consider transhumance a reality of great interest and importance and a model land management method, in tune with the landscape and the environment.
