<title>Progreso, Mexico - While Mexico's drug war rages a small town of resturants and tourist shops quietly keeps rolling along. Nuevo Progreso just across the U.S. Border attracts many Winter Texans looking for a taste of Mexico with out going to the larger Mexican Border towns such as Renynosa or Matamoros both across from major U.S, Cities Brownsvillie and McAllen Texas. Nuevo Progreso sits across the small U.S. Town of Progreso Texas. Much of the violence occuring in mexico has stayed out of the small border town but in December a skirmish between Mexican Army units stationed in Progreso and a group of Zeta's broke out. Causing many winter texans and other tourist to find place to hide in shops and resturants along the main street Juarez Ave.

<title>Progreso, Mexico - While a drug war rages on, on the borders between Mexico and the United States. The Small border crossing town of Nuevo Progreso still caters to Winter Texans and Tourist. As one crosses the bridge you will start to hear a faint &quot;Regalo Para Mi.&quot; coming from under the bridge. Some days large groups of men and women form under the bridge asking crossers from the U.S. to toss down change or dollar bills. While the town prospers from tourist and winter texans the poverty is still very visible as you cross the border.
