http://www.lightstalkers.org/galleries/contact_sheet/30326 On Tuesday, March 8th, civil society coalitions, NGOs, and Egyptian women and men gathered at Tahrir Square in Cairo to call for equal rights in Egyptian society and to mark International Women's Day. The march was supported by several national and international organizations and it subscribed to the goals of the "Million Woman March in Egypt." The aims of participants included: activating the role of women as Egyptian citizens and in politics, and ensuring that the new civil constitution respects and guarantees citizenship rights and ensures equality.
