After looking at the faces of the ‘differently abled’ children I realized that this presentation of mine would be very different from the usual. I would never want these pictures I have taken to evoke sympathy or pity, Rather I would like a person to gain strength and realize the power of will present in every human being as I learned after meeting these wonderful people. the smile and giggles of the children made me feel guilty for not being thankful for the blessings that I possessed in my life. I felt very inferior to the fighting spirit and positive spirit displayed by the people i was seeing. In short i was feeling like i was the one who was disabled looking at a bunch of angelic soldiers, learning how to wage the war of life. The image of the boy on the see-saw was stuck in my head. I tried to visualize how it would be like to be in total darkness and just go up and down ,up and down i asked myself would that be fun? All of a sudden i felt the same guilt again. How often i have felt envy and jealous of other peoples possession and here i was watching this boy, not having one of the most vital organ of the body and still thanking nature with his giggles. Happy with whatever he has, even if he can’t "visually" see it. I felt a lump of pain in my throat, looking at the reality of life. All of sudden material possessions, success ,glory, honor and riches seemed to hold the same meaning in my life as just plain simple air that passes away quickly. I had found a deeper meaning in existence and life god bless all the disabled and non disabled people of the world. http://www.lightstalkers.org en-us
