A lot of Ukrainian families gather during national holidays in the beginning of May to celebrate. Bottles of vodka are opened along with bottles of the popular "sjampan'sk" from the sunny peninsula of Crimea. Locals toast for health and a prosperous future

The heroes of the past and the youth of today face to face at the city square in downtown Krasny Luch. The new generation has very little to fight for and the town suffers from extreme unemployment and massive migration to larger cities like Donetsk and the capital Kiev
