Bettencourt along with thousands of other Shasta county residents are keying onto the benefits of kayaking according to Whiskeytown supervisor Jim Milestone. "We are always encouraging non motorized usage on the lake and programs like our midnight kayaking have really gained some popularity because it is simple and doesn't take a lot of skill to figure out."
