Gathering her tools and resting chair, Violet ends an October morning in 2003, from pruning and burning shrubbery at her Lebanon County, PA, property where she lives alone. "I build about three brand new homes and then I remodel homes and sold them," before purchasing the small farm land in the 1970's.
