Mamiya C330 Studio Sync advice

Hi, I have recently abandoned digital in studio and returned to film. I am using a Mamiya C330 (6×6) camera for a studio shoot next week and was wondering if anyone could offer advice on the correct settings as I do not have a handbook. I understand that you have to turn the sync dial to ‘X’ not ‘M’ or the studio flash will fire too early.Is this correct? Also does the camera sync in a studio at any shutter speed or does it have to be below 1/60 ?
