Get Together of Lightstalkers at NY Photo Festival This Week

Keep your eyes out for the time and place, but there are some moves afoot to designate a place for Lightstalkers attending the NY Photo Festival to gather and socialize a bit. The festival is so crammed with neat events that finding any free time is impossible, which has complicated the task.

So check the LS site over the next 48 hours as we will soon get our act together and get a place and time established. When we do I hope all who can will join us.

You might think about using the VII DUMBO space as a meeting point. Great space, powerful show and all about supporting the photojournalism community.

28 Jay Street…just down the road from the F train stop (York Street station)

Thanks, Frank. The VII space, however, is entirely too upscale for the group I expect to assemble. No doubt some of the crowd will come by the VII gallery beforehand. Be sure your security people are in place. :-)

Anyone seeing this post (and missing the one formally announcing the event) should note that the time and place have now been set. Here they are:

The time: 6 pm. Friday, May 16 (get there on time and it’s Happy Hour until 7 p.m.)
The place: reBar, 147 Front Street, DUMBO, Brooklyn
The dress: WEAR A SCARF!

FYI, the reBar is just up the street and around the corner from the VII space.

Anyone who want to check out latest Canon pro cameras should visit the Canon Production Studio at 111 Front Street space in DUMBO.

This pro line equipment is available for testing. We also have up to 50 G9 available for people to use. Go shoot some pics with the latest and get your pictures exhibited in the Canon Galleries.
