Getting into China without a return ticket

Will be going to China in about a month and am wondering what problems I might encounter trying to enter the country without a return ticket. I’m keeping my return date flexible, and as such, won’t have a return ticket back to the US. Anybody with experience?

Make a ticket reservation, print out your itinerary, don’t buy the ticket. If anybody asks to see your return ticket, show them the print out and tell them it’s an e-ticket.

I’ve gone in with a 90 day visa and no return ticket, flying into Beijing, without any problems.
