I was born in Palermo, Sicily. At 17 years old I joined in a photographic competition because of “the international year of young people” and I won the prize for the better reportage photo. The year of my degree, after a period lived in London, I took up working as a reporter with some local reviews and after a few years I took up working as a photoreporter with the “Giornale di Sicilia” until I got my university degree in Medicine. In spite of the professional engagements, I have carried on taking photo and indeed I tried to skilled in travel reportage, realizing the archives of a great deal of slides taken in Greece, Turkey, Tunisia, France, Spain Mauritius. After becoming a university researcher, I have began to use my competences in the field of the medical research, above all in the photomicroscopic fields and in the image analysis software. Finally, in the last years, I have begun again my reporter activity. Thanks to the frequent travels, I have enriched my archives remarkably, I have begun to collaborate with FotoUp agency and I have pubblish some reportages on various magazine. From 2009 in collaboration with Photos scatti & shots I have been teaching in some workshops concerning reportage, travel and street photography.
