GQ magazine
Carlos it depends on what your shooting for them. Is it fashion or a reportage feature because they have different scales.
I have shot stuff for GQ and other Conde Nast publications in the past and they usually have a good budget.
Let me know what your shooting and I will give you an idea what to ask for.

Thanks Mark. It is a reportage, mostly portraits of a woman and husband.

OK. Well for a reportage feature like that your unlikely to get a day rate from them.
You can negotiate either an all in fee or by the page. For something like that I would suggest going for a all in fee. If your writing the piece than obviously add that into the equation.
I would say something in the region of $750 US for a reportage over 2 pages add each additional page accordingly.
If you need any contacts on GQ let me know.

I’ve shot for Wired (a conde nast pub.) numerous times and their day rate was $500, if they wound up using more photos then a full page they would pay for those usages in addition. They were very liberal with expense’s and paid travel days at 50% of day rate. It’s been a couple years so who knows what may have changed since then.
