Guillaume Pazat was born in France in 1970 and he moved to Lisbon in 1998. He is licenced in Industrial Engineering by the University of Strasbourg and he has the Master in Digital Cinema by the “Trazos School of Arts” in Madrid. One of the founders of Kameraphoto, since 1998 he has been working as a photographer to several European newspapers and magazines. In 2004, on a special request by the Portuguese magazine “Grande Reportagem”, he travelled across Europe to photograph the ten new countries of European Union. In the 2005 edition of the Portuguese photojournalism awards, he won the first Award “
BES/Visão Fotojornalismo” for Reportage. However, in 2001 he had already been distinguished in the same competition and he obtained the Award of the “Sindicato dos Jornalistas” with his work about “Casal Ventoso”. In 2007, he won the second Award of notodofotofest.com and, in Madrid, he directed the video-podcast Serie “Madrid Expresso”- the first postcast multimedia of the Portuguese Press, dedicated to the European capital nearest Lisbon.
In the first trimester of 2008, he directed, in assignment for VISÂO Magazine , the Multimedia project “estação do calor”, a 3 months projects about ecological issues, covering Argentina Chile and Bolivia. [

Nowadays, beside is continuous works in documentary photography, he also develops projects in video-art and movie direction.
