Hardware failure today
Sorry guys—a hard disk failed in the main app server today, and it took us about 40 minutes to replace it and reboot. Everything’s back up now and no data was lost.
Unfortunately, outright failures like this are hard to protect against. To guarantee availability better, we need to set up a backup server, but we don’t quite have the budget for it yet—what funds we have are currently going to the app server, database server, and bandwidth costs. We’re working on ways to generate more support for November Eleven, which will translate directly into a more reliable Lightstalkers.
Thanks for your understanding and patience. If you have any other issues or questions, please email them to us at support@lightstalkers.org—your email will receive a personal response.

don´t worry! Lightstalkers is a great tool.
How much would it cost, maybe we should have a fund drive?
Yeah, give us a dollar figure and let’s pass a hat around.
Let me know if you need any help in setting up a backup server or load balancer or anything.
Yes, I think there really should be a fund drive. I would gladly give money if it meant that Lighstalkers would operate more smoothly.
