Hasselblad In Bangkok

This is a shot in the dark but if anyone knows owners of Hasselblad gear in Bangkok wanting to sell, I’m interested – Did the rounds in all the shops already – not very impressed. Looking for a 500cm (1980 or later) with 80 “T” lens and magazine or a 501 CM kit. Any help much appreciated.

Go to Sapan lek, there are 4 or 5 shops that only sell this kind of old crap.

Failing Fotohobby I believe that Fotofile have a 500/503 at their MBK branch, at least they did about 4 hours ago, if no then have you tried 3rd Floor Central World on Rama 3, part of the Fotofile group that sell leica/Blad etc?

Do you have a friend in Tokyo? Right now Fujiya Camera (www.fujiya-camera.co.jp) has one 500C/M kit (500C/M Chrome+ CF80/2.8 + A-12Ⅱ)for 105,000 Yen. That is less than US$1000. I might add the listed price may or may not include a sales tax of 5%. I had a quick check on the availability at keh.com in the US. They have several, 500C/M Black kit at $1200 and above and 500C/M Chrome kit at $1100 and below.

Thanks all. When I said I was not impressed with what I saw in the shops I probably exaggerated, I did see a descent kit at Camera Collection but quite pricey / especially when you think of what you can get in Europe or Japan – Photo Hobby in Silom had one but a bit too old and very probably prone to jams etc… I live right next to the shop in Central Rama III and all their Hassies are for show only – This leaves the scary option of Prirom Plaza in Chinatown or the usually over-priced Fotofile…

I might well go for the one at Camera Collection but if someone knows a Bangkok based potential seller would love to hear from him / her.

Thanks again to you all.
