Headed to Viet Nam

I’m off to Viet Nam through the beginning of February. Have any members been there over the past few weeks or months? While I have a story I’ll be working on for the first part of my trip, I have several weeks afterwards where I’d like to work on a few smaller stories. It’s been ten years since I last lived in Viet Nam and I know much has changed. If anyone has input on issues affecting locals in HCMC especially, good and bad, I’d love some input. Are there any member permanently based in Viet Nam?

I’m also looking for a relatively inexpensive hotel ($20-$30 range) for the second half of my trip that’s safe to leave gear in while I’m about. Any help greatly appreciated.

Hello I have already come back from Vietnam … in my gallerie are some pictures, just a few. The contry is pretty nice and the people are very kind. I haven`t got any problem taking pictures of them. And about the hotel don`t worry is so cheap … so so cheap. I feel bad to pay so little fot food or place to sleep.
