Need help to get my lens from US to Central America!
Hi all,
I need help getting my nice new Canon 16-35 lens down to Mexico, El Salvador, or Guatemala in the next week.
It is arriving in San Francisco Monday, after being repaired by Canon. They fixed it real quick, but the bastards forgot to send it to me. Thus screwing up a good deal of work.
I live in Mexico, but will be shooting in Central America for the next month. Please let me know if you know anybody coming down who could help me out by bringing lens. It would be a huge help. I can promise a few rounds of Gallo. Also if you are coming this way from elsewhere in the states, I could get the lens sent to you ASAP.

When you need it by man?
I have a whole flock of friends coming to DF from SF in the coming weeks….. but not sure how soon you need it.

Thanks For getting back to me Brian. I really want to have the lens for my work in Central America,so I’m hoping someone is coming that way in the next week. But for sure, that is a long shot so it would be excellent to have someone just bring it down to Mexico. I’ll be back in the city at the end of May. The thing is, if I shipped it across customs to Mexico myself it is a serious hassle not to mention super pricey.

I sent out a blast to my email list of folks coming down for foundry, many of whom are from S.F.
So, hopefully one gets back to ya soon….
Other than that, I will be in NY from May 7-17, and so you could conceivably snail mail it there for a reasonable price, and I could bring it back to D.F. on my way home…. Just a thought.
