Christopher Herwig

Canadian born photographer currently based in Almaty, Kazakhstan, and working on a photo book on Central Asia. Technically educated in photography at Langara college in Vancouver,my background is in advertising, PR and editorial work. 



The photographs here are a mix of mainly portraits as well as landscapes, city and industry to illustrate where people live and work. The main purpose is to entertain, produce something beautiful that anyone will want to look at, not only people with an vested interest. The style of photography is a mix of my background in photography – art and commercial. I strive to produce clean and graphically pleasing compositions while still trying to document realistic situations. While always pushing myself to develop and evolve, I also try to ensure a healthy and respectful relationship with my subjects.
