Hossein Koliya

Hossein Koliya was born in 1988 in Tehran, Iran. He received diploma in Drama and took part in many plays abroad e.g. Germany, India, Korea and Japan as the director’s assistant. Hossein started his career in theater photography in 2006 and soon had branched into photojournalism. He started his work in Mehr News Agency in 2007. He is also a member of IPA (Iranian Photojournalists’ Association) and NIPS (National Iranian Photographers’ Society). Since 2010 he has moved to documentary photography and became a freelancer.
He is now working on his portrait collection.
