Hotel in Manhattan ???

Got a friend heading down for VII in Dumbo but he had a hotel mixup and now needs to find a place to stay. Any ideas on cheapish hotels in Manhattan for Sat/ Sun ?

I’m doing this for him ‘cause I’m getting tired of hearing him make call after call after call to hotels ;)

So it’s not manhattan but it’s 25 mins to dumbo, and the subway is 1 min walk away from the hotel, and it’s probably 200 less a night than the city..new, clean, snazzy, and in park Slope, lots of good food/prospect park/etc
