About
Hugh started his career working on films in New York and attending the School of Visual Arts. He moved to Hawaii in 1992 and began working as a TV news photographer and shooting surf. Besides photojournalism, one of his main passions in life is swimming in big surf with his camera. After returning from Iraq in Dec 2002, he helped to pull a fellow photographer out of the water at Pipeline, he had no pulse but was revived on the beach. World hot spots aren’t the only place to do dangerous business.
Hugh transitioned into digital photography in 2003 and is a contributor to World Picture News, USPresswire and Reuters. His TV clients include National Geographic, NBC News, CBS Sports, Discovery and The History Channel.
His work has taken him into Northern Africa, India, Philippines, Cambodia, Jordan and Iraq, to name a few.
