When someone say’s “I don’t think you should go there” I’m going… with my camera.
A lil comment on using film:
While attending the Jack Picone and Stephen Dupont workshop in late 2009, Jack said to me “Once you shoot film, you won’t turn back”. How right he proved to be. Since shooting my first roll, I have not used my digital camera for photography. Shooting film has given me the control and creative expression I couldn’t get from digital photography when producing my documentary and mind-scape projects. With my major influences being Daido Moriyama, Stephen Dupont, Gaspar Noé and James Gleeson, it was no surprise shooting film is such an exciting creative means of expression.
