About

I am a photographer, artist and media strategist working with visual media and digital technology to support storytelling, collaboration, and diversity.

Based in Brooklyn, I hold a BA in History from Eugene Lang and a BFA in Design & Technology from Parsons, both colleges of The New School University. My experience includes internships at Magnum Photos, The Open Society Institute, Local Projects, and Big Spaceship. I have worked in Guatemala, India, and Ethiopia on documentary projects and community based media production. My next project involves Fulbright funded collaboration with a youth film collective in Ethiopia.

Content Volunteers for 9/11 Memorial Museum

This is not a photography project, but it is an interesting experiment in story telling with digital media on an important topic. I interned for Local Projects in the spring and was impressed with their rigor and creativity.

Content Volunteers- http://localprojects.net/lpV2/jobs.html
Local Projects is currently seeking volunteers to help shape the future of storytelling and the writing of history through technology for a high-visibility museum project. The Museum Volunteer Group will help ingest and refine content for “Make History”, a web-based initiative of the National September 11 Memorial Museum that is seeking to gather and aggregate every 9/11 Story to create a new understanding of the event. The ideal candidate will be very detail-oriented and possess a strong knowledge of New York City geography, knowledge of interactive technology and basic graphic manipulation skills (image resizing). Candidate should be familiar with social networking tools and Google Maps. Excellent written and oral communication skills a plus. This candidate will ideally be based in or near New York City and work remotely but come into our midtown west office occasionally to check in. The work can be Part or Full time. Please submit your resume to jobs@localprojects.net.
